The Beginnings of Holland Bulb Farms

Our roots run deep with family and Dutch tradition. Holland Bulb Farms was created as a division of the wholesale bulb supply company, Holland Beauty, which was established in 1975 by Arthur van Zanten, a Dutch immigrant with a long family history in the flower bulb industry. In 2004, Arthur’s son in law, Jon Studer, who had been working with Arthur at Holland Beauty since 1995, saw the need to supply flower bulbs from Holland throughout the United States. Soon after that, Holland Bulb Farms emerged.

At Holland Bulb Farms, they store and ship all products from their office and warehouse in Milwaukee, WI every spring and fall shipping season. 90% of their fall planted bulbs and 70% of their spring planted bulbs are sourced directly from growers in Holland. Bearded Iris, Clematis, Fruit plants, Vegetable roots, Begonias and Caladium all are grown and sourced from farmers and greenhouses in the United States of America.
